- Section A: Introduction This document is being issued to accomplish market research pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 and to identify vendors capable of performing the functions described herein. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a commitment on the part of the Government to conduct a solicitation for the below-listed services in the future. Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this document, nor will it compensate respondents for any costs incurred in the development/furnishing of a response. The Government will not entertain telephone calls or questions. Section B: Background The Bureau of International Information Programs (IIP), American Spaces (AS) Vienna, on organization within the U.S. Department of State, seeks to acquire contractors who could supply and provide the required commercial items to support modern, advance and dynamic platforms of engaging U.S. Public Diplomacy American Spaces programming worldwide. The contractor shall have expertise in policies and regulations of Federal Government operations especially for Public Affairs and Procurement. Section C: Scope of Capabilities The purpose of this Sources Sought is to assess the market capabilities of vendors that can provide the requirements as described below. Marketing Support: • Supply essential books, maker space items, media and graphics with the specific style and design as requested (topic examples but are not limited include: African-American, Native-American, and Women's History; the Environment; U.S. Elections and Civics; and Music) • Multimedia products including but not limited to mobile technology, Chrome Cast for Audio and materials needed for digitalization. • Tagging inventory system for barcoding that is reliable with ease of operation, and the flexibility of tagging all kinds of media easily Section D: Responses Interested respondents shall provide a statement demonstrating their capabilities of understanding the requirements and supplying IIP needs. The statement shall include the respondent s approach to production, distribution and logistics. The statement shall cover staffing capabilities and include evidence in providing services in the covered capabilities. Such evidence shall consist of work references and capability of the staff to provide an extensive knowledge of industry trends and services in the last three (3) years. Statements that are not specific and backed by evidence will not be considered. Respondents whose statements do not conform to the above requirements will be considered incapable. Instructions Responses should be submitted in Microsoft Word format and excluding attachments, and should not exceed ten (10) pages with Arial font greater than or equal to 11 pt.
