Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE SOLICITATION # VA69D-17-B-0931 Pre-solicitation announcement for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois is hereby issued. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 01 May 2017 for a Firm Fixed Priced, general construction project. NAIC Code 236220 $36.5M applies. The contractor shall provide all labor, management, and materials, to remove and replace the underground steam and condensate lines from the steam pit in B/2 to the crawlspace in B/16, and connection to the existing condensate tank pumping system.   Project includes associated site work such as road and sidewalk cutting, removal, and replacement, trench excavation and backfill, and temporary relocation and reinstallation of a bus stop shelter.   Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) will be provided to and installed by the Contractor, and consists of the major underground piping components. VA project number 578-16-030. Project duration is 90 days following Notice to Proceed. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), this procurement is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms (SDVOSB). In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), the SDVOSB must verified in http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov to be eligible for award. Firms must also have current registrations with SAM (System for Award Management) at http://www.sam.gov and VETS 100 at https://www.dol.gov/vets/vets4212.htm The solicitation will be issued on/about 01 May 2017 with the bid opening on or about 31 May 2017. Dissemination of the solicitation will be limited to electronic medium. Interested Bidders (primes & subcontractors) should register at www.fedbizopps.gov so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement and for automatic receipt of updates or amendments. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov. By registering to "Receive Notification", you will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of bids.
