Description
Solicitation PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE: Solicitation No. R17PS00625: NIIP B3.1C Unit 7 Motor Rewind and Reconditioning The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), Four Corners Construction Office (FCCO), has a need to repair one General Electric brand motor located at the Navajo Agricultural Products Industry (NAPI) B3.1C Pumping Plant, located approximately 20 miles south of Farmington, NM. The B3.1C motor is a General Electric motor, L509VP20 Frame, 250 HP, 1785 RPM, 3 phase, 460 volts, 60 HZ, with an approximate weight of 3510 pounds. The Contractor will disassemble, inspect, and evaluate the motor. A detailed inspection report is expected regarding the condition of the motor. The inspection will contain the readings for the mechanical fits and what the tolerances are for the motor. The report will also include the results of the electrical tests. Tests include as a minimum the following: insulation resistance test, phase resistance test, amperage balance test, core loss test, and full voltage test run. Tests are to be performed before disassembly and after rewinding. Upon completion of the motor rewinding and reconditioning, the Contractor will perform an insulation resistance test in accordance with IEEE 43 and a DC high-potential test in accordance with NEMA MG 1 and IEEE 112. Contractor will reinstall. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: The place of performance is Farmington, New Mexico. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: A Performance Work Statement​ is included in​ the solicitation, with an anticipated period of performance of 45 days after award date tentatively scheduled for ​June 1, 2017. COMPETITION:Solicitation R17PS00625 is a total small business set-aside resulting in a purchase order that is a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. The requirement shall be procured in accordance with FAR 12 and 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Quotes.
