Description

This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought notice only. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hub zone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned, small business, or large business) relative to NACIS 812320 (size standard $5.5 Million). Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions and are not considered adequate responses to a potential future solicitation announcement. The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System is seeking sources that can perform the following; The contractor shall provide laundry service to ensure compliance with all certification or labeling requirements as required by health regulations. Laundered articles shall be cleaned in accordance with the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) standards of quality of cleanliness, finish and appearance, which is an internationally recognized standard. Articles shall be laundered to be free from bacteria and other microorganisms, including pathogens or disease-producing organisms, within facilities equipped with ventilation to prevent dissemination of contaminates. The facility s ventilation system should include adequate intake filtration, exchange rate and exhaust in accordance with EPA environmental requirements. All items must be clean, dry and free of lint, odor, spots, or excessive wrinkles. NOTE: Some materials common to all items such as sheets, pillow cases etc., are made with Polyester/Cotton material: Polyester/cotton material shall be washed, dried and pressed in such a manner as to prevent wrinkles and shrinking of fabric. If chlorine bleach is used it must be done without causing yellowing of the fabric. The government intends to award a single contract to purchase the services listed. Responses to this request should include a capability statement, and three (3) customer references to which you have provided similar repairs. Responses should also include company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: (1) is this service available under a federal supply schedule (GSA)? If yes, please provide the contract number. (2) Do you directly provide these services? (3) Is your business large or small? (4) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantaged business? (5) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. (6) Is your firm a certified hub zone firm? (7) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (8) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small or veteran owned small business? Responses to this notice shall be emailed to Bailey Long, email address bailey.long@va.gov. This notice will close and responses are due no later than 11:00 A.M. EDT April 21, 2017, Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received via e-mail. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available, if a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date.
