Description

VA Salt Lake City Healthcare System (hereinafter the Agency ) intends to release Solicitation VA259-15-R-0603 for located at 500 South Foothill Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah has a requirement to perform construction in an existing courtyard that is surrounded by Building 3 which is a Mental Health Service building. The project area is an undeveloped enclosed outdoor area of approximately 4,300 square feet. The courtyard space is fully enclosed within existing Building 3. The building rises to three stories on the west wall, and one story on the east wall, therefore there will be significant impacts due to limited accessibility for construction machinery into the courtyard. A site visit that will be formally set up by Contracting Officer is highly recommended to attend as the bid pricing will need to reflect the limited accessibility of machinery into the courtyard construction space. The purpose of this project is to provide an attractive and secure area for therapeutic and recreational activities for patients to relieve stress and anxiety This full solicitation will be 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, size standard $36.5M. The Contracting Officer nor any other personnel associated with this solicitation to include facility and contracting cannot recommend subcontractors to any potential SDVOSB General Contractor. Subcontractors wishing to items/services need to contact the general contractors directly directly. Offers for partial items in the solicitation will not be accepted. Important Notice: Apparent successful offerors must apply for and receive verification from the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 by submission of documentation of Veteran status, ownership and control sufficient to establish appropriate status, offerors must be both VISIBLE and VERIFIED by the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Verification and Evaluation at the time of contract award. Failure to be both VERIFIED by CVE and VISIBLE on VetBiz at the time of contract award will result in the offeror s proposal being deemed non-responsive. All offerors are urged to contact the CVE and submit the aforementioned required documents to obtain CVE verification of their SDVOSB status if they have not already done so. Full solicitation is anticipated to be posted on or about 15 May 2017.
