Bridge Demolition and Replacement, Avenue D Solicitation Number: R17PS00785 NAICS: 237310 Classification Code: Z1LB -Construction of Highways, Roads, Streets, Bridges, and Railways Agency: Department of the Interior Office: Bureau of Reclamation Location: Bureau of Reclamation: Yuma, Arizona Notice Type: Sources Sought Synopsis Posted Date: 04/11/2017 Response Date: 04/26/2017 Classification Code: Z1LB -Construction of Highways, Roads, Streets, Bridges, and Railways SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: Bridge Demolition and Replacement, Avenue D This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS for acquisition planning purposes ONLY. NO FORMAL SOLICITATION FOR THIS WORK EXISTS AT THIS TIME. The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking responsible sources having capabilities to perform construction work for a bridge demolition and replacement project. The project involves replacing the existing bridge that crosses the Main Outlet Drain Extension at Avenue D with a dual box concrete culvert. The Main Outlet Drain Extension is located approximately one mile west of the Yuma Desalting Plant, in Yuma, Arizona. All qualified concerns may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine the technical, administrative, management, and financial capability of such offerors to perform this type of work. The capability statements will be used to determine appropriate procurement strategy, in particular whether a set-aside or an alternate procurement strategy is warranted. The contractor shall be responsible for: Constructing a trapezoidal canal temporary bypass around the construction site; Removing the existing pre-casted bridge; Demolishing the canal lining where the new box culvert will be constructed; Installing the new concrete box culvert (either pre-cast or cast-in-place); Installing the new transitions; Bringing grades back to pre-construction elevations; Paving Avenue D to the extent indicated; Installing new W-beam guardrails; and Traffic control during the project duration. Capability statements should demonstrate the firm's experience and capability to perform the principal components of services listed above. Packages shall include the following information: (1) Business Name and Address; (2) Point of Contact to include E-Mail Address and Telephone Number; (3) DUNS; (4) NAICS code(s) applicable to this requirement; (5) Business Size and Type: 8(a), HUBZone, Women-owned, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, Small Business, Large Business; (6) Demonstrate ability to obtain bonding; (7) Demonstrate the firm's experience by providing a list of at least three comparable projects completed within the past five years in which your firm completed bridge demolition and replacement on comparable structures. All businesses are encouraged to limit responses to not more than 10 pages in length. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of potential contractors for solicitation planning purposes only. This is NOT a request for proposals and is NOT to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses to this sources sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this sources sought notice. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice. When it is determined that a formal solicitation will be issued, a Pre-Solicitation Notice will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities web site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/.
