Description
This is a market survey to locate potential sources to provide hardware components and technical/analytical services for the AN/ARC-231 MARS. The AN/ARC-231 components consist of the RT-1808A/RT-1987 Receiver Transmitter, C-12601 Control Indicator, C-12608 Fill Panel 28V, C-12609 Fill Panel 5V, AM-7568/AM-7667 Pre-Amplifier, AM -7565/AM-7668 RF Amplifier, MT-7321 RT Mounting Base, MT-7166 Amplifier Mounting Base, and other additional AN/ARC-231 MARS ancillaries. The AN/ARC-231 radio system provides two-way, multi-mode voice and data communications over a 30 to 512 MHz frequency range. AN/ARC-231 is capable of using line-of-sight (LOS) ultra high-frequency (UHF) and very high-frequency (VHF) bands with AM, FM, SATCOM, and Integrated Waveform capabilities. The contract will support AH-64, UH-60, CH-47, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Fixed Wing production lines, initial fielding of the National Security Agency (NSA) mandated Cryptographic Modernization (CM), integration of the anticipated Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) radio waveform, sustainment requirements (logistical support), and engineering services (such as future AN/ARC-231 MARS system upgrades or updates). FFP Delivery Orders will be issued for the AN/ARC-231 MARS hardware components. CPFF task orders will be issued for engineering support services. The upgraded CM/ MUOS capable radio will be fielded to replace previously installed legacy versions and support aircraft production lines. This market survey does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Technical documentation is not available from the Army. Suppliers capable of furnishing these services must so indicate in writing to PM-AME Field Office, ATTN: SFAE-AV-AS-AME, 6007 Combat Drive, F3-140-125, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005. The responses must include documentation such as drawings, test results, and other technical information demonstrating that the supplier can provide the required hardware, software and services. For additional information contact Carl Cabatingan, (443) 395-1300. The deadline for response for this notice is 04 May 2017.
