Description

The Veterans Administration Houston VA Medical Center Research and Development Group intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Olympus to provide a Olympus FV3000 system, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. This microscope equipment will be utilized in the course of ongoing research projects at the Houston VA. The Houston VA Research Service Line currently owns an Olympus microscope and the individual components of the FV3000 Olympus microscope will work with the existing Olympus microscope. In order to maintain research integrity and utilize existing equipment and contracts to the fullest extent, the same equipment must be utilized. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Thursday, April 27, 2017, 11:00, EST. Interest/capability statements which specifically detail how your product meets the requirement may be sent to Elaine DiBucci at elaine.dibucci@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
