Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal Plant Health Inspection Services, Plant Protection and Quarantine Facility in Services Facility in Harlingen, TX is in need of a firm fixed-price commercial contract to replace the current condensing unit and two 3-fan indoor coils and associated hardware in walk-in cooler at USDA, 4949 E. Grimes, Suite 103, Harlingen TX, 78522 PLEASE CHECK location address and be sure transportation cost is feasible. There will be no reimbursement for transportation or communication costs for this location. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors). The Small Business Standard Size is $15 Miles. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Project Requirements: To replace the current condensing unit and two 3-fan coil units" • Replace the 15 H.P. condenser unit with two 3 fan indoor coils R-407C • Replace all supply and suction lines with properly sized copper lines • The units must be identified including Manufacturer, model number, and Manufacturers information on the unit(s). • All piping shall be insulated • Manufacturers Installation Instructions must be followed during installation. • A new dryer shall be installed. • A programmable thermostat, 7-day setback device shall be installed with all new sensors, wiring, conduit shall be installed, the wire must be protected between the condenser unit and fans • The unit shall have two electric defrost evaporative coils, including suction accumulator, defrost kit, liquid line solenoid valve and coil, electrical temp controller, • This proposal shall include a pre- bid site visit, permits if required, all crane lift work, Freon and old unit disposal and site/space clean-up • The work must be completed on a weekend/Monday only due to USDA operation requirements • The operation requirements are 32 to 40 degrees F. Site Visits In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 52.237-1 - Site Visit. (Apr 1984); Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. (End of Provision) Site visits are at the discretion of the facility.
