- Description
- This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a source sought synopsis only. The purpose of this is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size relative to NAICS 339112, Standard Size 1,000 Employees. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. Scope of Work The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) in Little Rock, AR, needs a contract for surgical medical instrument of a Bio-Tenodesis Screw System. The Bio-Tenodesis Screw System eliminates transosseous tunnels in tendon repairs and ligament reconstructions. The Tenodesis Screws may be used in conjunction with #2 or 2-0 FiberWire ® to facilitate intraoperative tissue-tensioning and fixation in a predrilled socket. The predrilled socket minimizes incision length, dissection and overall morbidity. Response to this notice should include a capability statement, and three (3) customer references to which you have provided similar supplies. All interested firms shall provide the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, capability statement, and business size pursuant to the NAICS 339112, Standard Size 1,000 Employees. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to Jacqueline.Simpson3@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 12pm CST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. CENTRAL ARKANSAS VETERANS HEALTHCARE SYSTEM (CAVHS) The Bio-Tenodesis Screw System eliminates transosseous tunnels in tendon repairs and ligament reconstructions. The Tenodesis Screws may be used in conjunction with #2 or 2-0 FiberWire ® to facilitate intraoperative tissue-tensioning and fixation in a predrilled socket. The predrilled socket minimizes incision length, dissection and overall morbidity. BioComposite and vented PEEK Tenodesis screw insertion provides superior and immediate fixation for foot and ankle indications such as Achilles repair, FDL, FHL tendon transfers and lateral ligament stabilization. The FiberWire loop is created by a disposable Nitinol suture passing wire and #2 FiberWire found in the Bio-Tenodesis Disposables Kit. ACL: The ACL ToolBox has been updated to fit the needs of modern ACL reconstructions. Both the instrument case and the included instruments have been modified according to the surgeon feedback. The streamlined, three-layer case contains all the reusable instruments needed to complete the majority of common ACLR procedures, as well as an open pin mat area for additional instruments that may be added. The ACL ToolBox now contains the RetroConstruction Drill Guide Set with commonly used ACL marking hooks such as the footprint guides for femoral ACL drilling. The innovative FlipCutter is an all-in-one guide pin and reamer that allows minimally invasive socket creation from the inside/out. The FlipCutter allows a whole new level of freedom in socket positioning and is ideal for hard-to-reach areas such as tibial socket creation for PCLR, anatomic femoral socket creation for ACLR, socket creation for meniscal allograft, meniscal root avulsion repair and retrograde OATS ® of the patella. The RetroConstruction Drill Guide Set gives surgeons six different marking hook options for multiple indications all-in-one, small, easy to manage set. The adjustable C-ring allows several drilling angles without sacrificing accuracy.
