Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Precision Strike Weapons - PMA-201, intends to award a six- month extension against a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-11-G-0001 to the Boeing Company for Harpoon/SLAM-ER Missile System and Harpoon Command Launch System (CLS) Follow-On Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)/Engineering Services Support and Class I ECP Development Efforts for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) countries and United States Navy (USN). The period of performance is from June 01, 2017 through November 30, 2017. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Boeing Company is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the Harpoon weapon system and its related equipment. Boeing alone has the experience, special skills, proprietary technical documentation, software/algorithms, facilities and manufacturing techniques required to produce, assemble and integrate this equipment and furnish the supplies and services within the required timeframe. Accordingly, Boeing is the only known qualified, responsible source that can fulfill the requirements specified herein. Once NAVAIR finalizes its requirements for the subject effort, a prerequisite for receiving a contract award is registration in the System for Award Management database.
