Description

The Veteran s Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 20 intends on awarding a sole source modification to VA260-16-D-0002. This modification will be for the following: Modification of Shoulder Specialist contract to include an additional shoulder surgeon. This contract includes the surgeon to perform clinics and Operating Room (OR) services as need at the Boise VAMC in the Specialty Clinic and in the OR. Description Of Services: 1-2 sub-specialist(s) for orthopedics for complex shoulder cases. This is an area with a defined need (Clinic access over 30 days, surgeries scheduled over 30 days).     B.            Complex  arthroscopic  shoulder procedures (e.g., extensive rotator cuff tears/repairs, Bankart repair, SLAP repairs, bicep tenodesis/tenotomy). C.            Complex  open  shoulder procedures (e.g., open rotator cuff repair, Latarjet procedure). D.          Open complex procedures: i.e. Latarjet procedure, massive rotator cuff repairs, capsulorhaphy, bankhart repair, fracture ORIF E. Additional OR time and space has increased demand and ability for surgeons to complete cases at the Boise VA. Work must be completed by a board certified Shoulder Surgeon. The current contractor is already providing these services at Boise VAMC. Surgeon is already credentialed and providing services.
