- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. The U.S. Department of Army, Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Tennant Division intends to issue an award to Vaisala Inc, 194 S. Taylor Ave, Louisville, CO 80027-3024, which is the only source for these services and supplies herein referred to as Contractor for: 1) Calibration and maintenance of Vaisala brand humidity and temperature transducers. The place of performance will be at the contractors' facility. After market research it is determined that there is only one source available for this requirement. The anticipated award date is on or about May 10, 2017. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is 10 USC 2304(c) (1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will satisfy Agency Requirements. This determination was made based on Market Research conducted for this acquisition. The NAICS code for this action is 811219 (Laboratory instrument repair and maintenance services). ACC-APG requires that all contractors doing business with the ACC-APG must be registered within the System for Award Management (SAM). No award can be made unless the vendor is registered in SAM. For additional information and to register, please access the following website: http://www.sam.gov This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes, the Government reserves the right not to compete the proposed purchase order based on responses received to this notice. However, the Government may consider all responsible sources received within five days of this posting. This service may be awarded without further notice. It is noted that the intent of market research is to survey the market place to identify supplies and /or services and sources that will meet the agency's future needs. Written responses to this special notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona-fide capability to fulfill the requirement. There is no guarantee of award for any contractor engaged by the Government.
