- Missile Defense Agency - April 26, 2017 Contract Award Announcement Modus Operandi, Incorporated headquartered in Melbourne, Florida is being awarded a competitive, cost reimbursement contract with a total value of $1,499,987.00. This contract provides a "Predictive Analysis for Defense (PAD) capability that addresses MDA's needs for better situational awareness "left of launch". The work will be performed in Melbourne, Florida. The Period of Performance is for twenty-four months from April 10, 2017 through April 9, 2019. This contract was competitively procured via publication on the Federal Business Opportunities website under the FY2016 Rapid Innovation Fund (RIF) Broad Agency; HQ0034-16-BAA-RIF-0001. Fiscal year 2016 Research, Development, Test and Evaluation RIF funds in the amount of $1,499,987.00 are being obligated on this award. In accordance with FAR 35.006 (c), the use of a cost reimbursement contract for this research and development effort is appropriate. This is not a Foreign Military Sales acquisition.
