- Description
- The National Park Service ("Service") seeks proposals for a new Concession Contract CC-DENA018-17 ("Concession Contract"). The awarded Concession Contract will authorize the operation of Dog Sled Services within Denali National Park & Preserve (Denali). The Prospectus describes in general terms the existing business operations and the future business opportunities for the facilities and services required by the National Park Service. Offerors are responsible for reviewing all sections of the Prospectus and, specifically, the terms and conditions of the draft Concession Contract included in this Prospectus ("Draft Contract") including its exhibits, to determine the full scope of the Concessioner's responsibilities under the Draft Contract. The Service is issuing this solicitation pursuant to the National Park Service Concessions Management Improvement Act of 1998 (P.L. 105-391) (codified in 54 U.S.C. §101912 et seq.) and its implementing regulations 36 CFR Part 51 (included in the appendices to the Prospectus). The term "Concessioner" as used in the Prospectus refers to the entity that will be the Concessioner under the Draft Contract. In the event of any inconsistency between the terms of this Prospectus and 36 C.F.R. Part 51, the latter will prevail. In the event of any inconsistency between the description of the contract terms contained in this Prospectus and the Draft Contract itself, the terms of the Draft Contract will prevail. The Prospectus describes the future concession opportunity in general terms for "Dog Sled Services" which includes: 1) Dog Sled Passenger Expeditions (day and overnight); 2) Dog Sled Supported Ski Trips; and 3) Freight Hauling These services are to be authorized by the National Park Service at Denali National Park and Preserve.
