- Missile Defense Agency - April 26, 2017 Contract Award Announcement Knowledge Based Systems, Incorporated headquartered in College Station, Texas is being awarded a competitive, cost reimbursement contract with a total value of $2,400,000.00. The title of contract is "Predictive Real-time Analysis for Enemy Missile Preemption (PREEMPT)" providing research in autonomous learning systems and human-machine collaborative decision making. The work will be performed in College Station, Texas. The Period of Performance is twenty-four months from March 31, 2017 through March 30, 2019. This contract was competitively procured via publication on the Federal Business Opportunities website under the FY2016 Rapid Innovation Fund (RIF) Broad Agency Announcement; HQ0034-16-BAA-RIF-0001. Fiscal year 2016 Research, Development, Test and Evaluation RIF funds in the amount of $2,400,000.00 are being obligated on this award. In accordance with FAR 35.006 (c), the use of a cost reimbursement contract for this research and development effort is appropriate. This is not a Foreign Military Sales acquisition.
