Description
SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS SOLICITATION The Transient Aircraft (TA) section requires a "Follow Me" vehicle sign for guiding taxiing aircraft at Soto Cano Air Base. The sign's requirements from AFI 91-203 Para. 24.13.12: Follow Me Vehicles. Follow Me vehicles for guiding aircraft shall be equipped with signs, easily visible at day and night, reading -Stop and Follow Me. The TA section requires a typical "Follow Me" sign with minimum dimensions of 4'2" wide by 11" high. The display will feature either yellow, amber, or both in digital pixel format. Sign brightness will need to be adjustable to accommodate taxiing aircraft during daylight and darkness hours. The display will be mounted to a back rack assembly for a 2006 Ford F-150 Regular Cab with minimum to no modifications to the vehicle. The power supply for this system will need to be 12-volt and be capable of connecting to vehicles power supply. The sign needs to be programmable from a console that can be mounted in the interior of the vehicle. The console/on-board computer will have programmable buttons to display "Follow Me," "Stop," and other commands as necessary. The computer should be capable of having the programed info saved an internal memory. Other than the on-board computer, the sign, backrack mounting assembly, and wiring will need to be all­ weather compatible to be operated during inclimate weather outdoors. The TA section is requesting delivery of the parts for this Follow Me sign with all additional hardware within 7-10 business days delivery to the Charleston, SC port after order has been purchased
