- The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to the vendor questions listed below. ALARIS IV PUMPS VA119-17-Q-0034 VENDOR QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS QUESTION: I am contacting you to inquire about the above solicitation for IV Devices. Are you soliciting only for Alaris General Infusion Pumps or are vendors with comparable devices open to bid? ANSWER: This is a Brand Name Only solicitation for Alaris Infusion (IV) Pumps QUESITON: I m interested in providing an RFQ response for competitive infusion pumps which are not the Alaris brand as noted within this solicitation. Please let me know if the VA would entertain this response as we are a direct competitor for the Alaris pumps. ANSWER: This is a Brand Name Only solicitation for Alaris Infusion (IV) Pumps QUESTION: We were advised that the SAC would be issuing RFQ s for Firm Fixed Price Contract for Infusion Pumps to included Alaris, B Braun and Smith Medical. I see this is for Alaris. Do you know if there will be an RFQ for B Braun and Smith Medical? ANSWER: At this time, this is the only IV Pump we ve received a requirement for. QUESTION: Would it be possible to remove the services and subscription products from the RFQ? ANSWER: The VA s requirements for support from a National contract are identified as all of the line items listed in the RFQ. As specified in the ADDENDUM to FAR 52.212-2 in the solicitation, Quoters must provide a quote for every Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) listed in Attachment A, Price/Cost Schedule in order to be considered for award of the contract.
