Description
PRON: D17N5003D1. The Government proposes to acquire on a One Time Buy contract, a quantity of 300 each GENERATOR TACHOMETER; NSN: 6680-00-455-9384; PN: 10191249 applicable to the tow (Ground) Weapon system. Production Lead Time with Government Tested First Article of 300 each, 397 Days After Receipt of Order (DARO) with deliveries to New Cumberland, PA 17070-5002. This item is sole source to: GENERAL DYNAMICS (CAGE 10112). This data needed to acquire this part competitively is not physically available, it cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate, economical description of the material for a competitive solicitation. Formal communication related to this acquisition should be directed to Arneke Ivy, Contract Specialist at arneke.ivy@dla.mil. No telephone requests will be accepted. Please include solicitation number and your direct contact information, i.e., e-mail address, mailing address, and telephone number. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. Adequate technical data is available for this acquisition. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website http://amcomdmz.redstone.army.mil/casl_cmo/casl_cmo_home and looking under Standard Aviation and Missile Source Approval Request (SAMSAR). All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. THIS ACQUISITION CONTAINS DATA THAT CANNOT BE RELEASED EXCEPT TO GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. NO DOCUMENTATION IS BEING RELEASED WITH THIS SOLICITATION. ACQUISITION DOCUMENTATION IS SOLE SOURCE TO THE RESTRICTED SOURCE OF SUPPLY. NOTE 22 : The proposed contract action is for supplies or services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
