- In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to Wojanis Supply Co. Inc. for the purchase of GeoTek Direct Mount Ball Valves. This is considered a sole source to Wojanis Supply Co. Inc. because, to the best of the NETL ™s knowledge, based on market research conducted Wojanis Supply Co. Inc., is the only known source that is authorized to deal directly with the manufacturer of the GeoTek PCAT ball valves. GeoTek ball valves are required for the closure of transport vessels and to link to flanges for NETL ™s GeoTek PCAT system. GeoTek requires their flanges to any vessels be connected to their PCAT, and this particular ball valve is used for the GeoTek PCAT system. For compatibility and safety, the GeoTek ball valves must be used. No known potential alternate sources exist which could satisfy NETL ™s requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for quote/proposal. Any interested party that believes it is capable of meeting the NETL requirement described herein may identify themselves and must provide evidence of their capability to fulfill the requirement being requested by 5:00 PM ET on May 6, 2017. Responses must be submitted in writing to the Contract Specialist, Robert Mohn, via email at Robert.Mohn@netl.doe.gov no later than the time and date noted. Telephone responses and requests will not be received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
