- Address: The Black Bear Bridge is located in the Bob Marshall Wilderness on the Spotted Bear Ranger District of the Flathead National Forest. The project location is Township 23 North, Range 14 West, Section 34. The project elevation is approximately 4,100 feet., Access to the bridge site is as follows: From Hungry Horse, MT travel 0.75 east on State Highway 2. Turn right onto the East Side Reservoir Road. The East Side Reservoir Road becomes Forest Road 38 (East Side Reservoir Road). Continue 52 miles on Forest Road 38 then turn left onto Forest Road 895 (West Side South Fork Road). Continue 0.80 on road 895 then turn left onto Forest Road 2826 (Meadow Creek Road). Continue 12 miles on Forest Road 2826 to the Meadow Creek Trailhead. At this point you will be entering the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex where there is NO MOTORIZED USE. By hiking or using pack animals, continue from the Meadow Creek Trailhead to the bridge site via 13 miles of Forest Trails 80A, 80, and 80D., Kalispell, Montana, 59901, United States
