- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to award a competitive Firm-Fixed price contract for four (4) Buffer Valve Manifolds (Part Number 615845-17) in support of the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS). The required Buffer Valve Manifolds are Critical Safety Items (CSIs) and therefore it is the Navy's intent to pursue a limited competition between the following vendors whom are qualified to provide these CSIs: The Entwistle Company, 6 Bigelow Street, Hudson, MA •· Curtis Wright Flow Control Target Rock Div., 1966 E. Broadhollow Rd, Farmingdale, NY •· Duhadaway Tool and Die Shop, 801 Dawson Drive, Newark DE, 19713 •· Penn State Tool and Die Shop, 7590 Route 30, Irwin, PA 15642 The estimated delivery for the order will be 24 months ARO. The NAICS code associated with this requirement is 336413. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The limited number of responsible sources listed above is the only companies that can meet the agency's need for the Buffer Valve Manifolds (Part Number 615845-17) in support of EMALS by the Required In-Yard Date (RIYD) of 31 July 2019. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
