Description
WVA SCOPE OF WORK 01-17 SERVICE CONTRACT FOR THE REBUILD OF (1) GUN TUBE INSPECTION STATION M1A1 CO-PRODUCTION OF THE M256 CANNON AND GUN MOUNT AT MILITARY FACILITY 100 (MF-100) CAIRO, EGYPT, C.1 SCOPE/GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Contractor to replace CPU, wiring, software and hardware for the bore straightness and bore size functions on the newer Gun Tube Inspection System. Contractor will calibrate the inspections heads with the new components and ensure 100 percent function. The Gun Tube Inspection Station (GTIS) is located at MF-100, Cairo, Egypt. Estimate rebuild and calibration to take two weeks. C.2 TASKS C.2.1 The contractor shall upgrade the newer GTIS in MF- 100. Contractor shall remove the installed CPU and replace it with a new rack mount CPU with Windows 7 or newer Operating System installed. Contractor shall remove all wiring for the bore straightness and bore diameter functions. The contractor shall purchase and install PLC (Programmed Logic Controllers) for both systems. The contractor shall write and install new software for the operation of new controllers for the bore straightness and bore diameter systems. The contractor shall install required wiring for the PLCs. The contractor shall calibrate the new systems and ensure 100 percent functionality. Upon completion of the rebuild and calibration the contractor shall update the electrical diagrams of the unit incorporating all modifications. C.2.2 Upon completion of rebuild of the newer GTIS machine, the contractor shall provide an explanation of completed work to the COR. C.2.3 Except for the PCO and COR, the contractor shall not accept any direction issued by any personnel employed by the US Government, Military Factory 100, or Government of Egypt. The COR or PCO shall be consulted in case of conflict. C.2.4 The particular days of the week worked by the contractor shall be adjusted to match Military Factory 100 policy and local customs, including observance of Egyptian national Holidays and Ramadan. Normal workweek at MF-100 is Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Authorization is required in advance to work outside the norm workweek. C.2.5 Overtime is not authorized. C.3 REQUIREMENTS C.3.1 All tools and equipment, including personal safety, steel toed shoes and eye protection, needed to perform the calibration and repair required by this contract shall be furnished by the contractor. C.3.2 Contractor must have inspection and repair experience on the GTIS. C.3.3 Prior to travel, the contractor will get approval for travel dates with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR), Alan Burke, alan.l.burke.civ@mail.mil. C.4 DELIVERABLES C.4.1 At the conclusion of the technical visit, the contractor shall provide a status report within 30 days IAW CDRL A001. The report will include, work accomplished during visit, current condition of the rebuilt GTIS, problems, special concerns, a list of spare parts required for future preventative maintenance and itemized cost of repair to include parts, material, and labor. The contractor shall provide the status report via email to: COR Alan Burke, alan.l.burke.civ@mail.mil and WVA Manager Jim Vautrin, james.w.vautrin.civ@mail.mil.
