Description

SYNOPSIS: The VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHCS) has a requirement to INSTALL Steel Structure with Metal Roof over the loading dock area of Building 300 within the VAGLAHCS located at 11301 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles CA 90073. A Firm-Fixed Price Construction award is anticipated. A certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, materials, parts, tools, engineering, supervision, services, and expertise necessary to erect a steel post and frame structure with steel roof approximately 25 wide by 28 deep as required by the solicitation request and statement of work. Structure shall slope from front to back with a 6 overhang of the block wall. Structure shall be anchored to the building at one end and supported by square steel posts at the other end. Contractor shall provide engineered stamped wind and structural plans to meet California Building Code requirements. Structure shall be powder coated to match the existing Nutrition and Food Service Building. Work includes but is not limited to demolition, general construction, concrete, light structural steel, and other elements / items as required. Work will be performed in/around an operational hospital environment, which will remain operational during the project duration. Solicitation documents will be available electronically on/about April 27, 2017 at the following website: www.fedbizopps.gov. Bidders will search for solicitation VA262-17-Q-0770 to access solicitation documents and any issued amendments. BIDDERS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE SITE FREQUENTLY AS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AMENDMENTS. Only electronic email quotes will be accepted. Only one (1) organized Pre-Bid Conference and Job Walk / Site Visit will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 11:00AM local at Building 300, southside Arnold Ave. entry. NAICS: 238120; Small Business Size Standard: $15 Million; Project Magnitude: Between $25,000 and $100,000. Contract Period of Performance will be 60 Calendar Days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must be registered, certified and current with the Center for Verification Excellence (CVE), Vendor Information Pages (VIP), and System for Award Management (www.sam.gov). The single source of entry for all outgoing documentation / information pertaining to this acquisition will be http://www.fbo.gov. Telephone, email, and fax requests for a solicitation package / information will not be accepted. All interested bidders (prime contractors & subcontractors) can register at www.fedbizopps.gov so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement.
