- Description
- The purpose of this requirement is to facilitate the establishment of a contract vehicle to procure spare parts (also known as spares, components or parts) for fielded COMSEC equipment. The parts are required to enable field or depot level repair/replacement (as the Source, Maintenance and Recoverability [SMR] code authorizes) for COMSEC equipments providing National Security Agency (NSA) Type I encryption/decryption of telecommunications security by converting information to a form unintelligible to unauthorized interceptors and by re-converting the unintelligible form to its original for authorized recipients. COMSEC equipment is cryptographic-equipment, cryptographic-ancillary equipment, cryptographic-production equipment, and authentication equipment governed by NSA. Final proposals are due by 12:00 noon (Arizona Time) on 11 May, 2017.
