- This announcement was previously issued as VA247-16-R-0246. This announcement and solicitation issuance of VA247-17-R-0175 is for the same requirement. This contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, management, supplies, communized linen and textile items, bulk delivery carts, transportation, and facilities necessary to perform Contractor Owned/Contractor Operated Bulk laundry linen services and tasks required for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 7). The requirement includes service for Standard, Non Standard, and Customer Owned Goods estimated at 5,467,261 pounds per year. The requirement includes a base year and four-one year option periods for a total of five (5) years. The proposed contract will be a stand-alone, single award, firm-fixed price, negotiated procurement. Services will be paid as required for service used. The acquisition will be solicited under full and open competition without exclusion of sources. The applicable NAICS code is 812332 with a size standard of $38.5 Million. The product service code is S209. Interested Vendors may direct questions to Kevin.Warren2@va.gov not later than 14 days after issuance of the solicitation. The Government will evaluate proposals and select the successful offeror using the best value approach. This process permits tradeoffs between non-cost factors and cost/price and allows the Government to accept other than the lowest priced proposal or other than the highest technically rated proposal to achieve a best value contract award based on established evaluation criteria.
