- IFB_DACA65-B-17-05 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale three (3) items of timber on approximately 179 acres total located within Fort A.P. Hill, Bowling Green, VA 22427 of which approximately the following volumes to be harvested: The sale is per unit and harvested timber will be sold by WEIGHT. Item 1 - TIMBER ON BLOCK 1 TOTAL (120 ACRES) PINE SAWTIMBER -- 3360 Tons PINE CHIP N SAW - 1327 Tons PINE PULPWOOD - 1535 Tons HARDWOOD SAWTIMBER - 710 Tons HARDWOOD PULPWOOD - 1825 Tons Tons of Chips (optional) - 726 Tons Item 2 - TIMBER ON BLOCK 2 TOTAL (38 ACRES) PINE SAWTIMBER -- 1231 Tons PINE CHIP N SAW - 33 Tons PINE PULPWOOD - 200 Tons HARDWOOD SAWTIMBER - 1211 Tons HARDWOOD PULPWOOD - 473 Tons Tons of Chips (optional) - 379Tons Item 3 - TIMBER ON BLOCK 3 TOTAL (21 ACRES) PINE SAWTIMBER -- 332 Tons PINE CHIP N SAW - 48 Tons PINE PULPWOOD - 155 Tons HARDWOOD SAWTIMBER - 123 Tons HARDWOOD PULPWOOD - 247 Tons Tons of Chips (optional) - 44Tons Item # one (1) - All harvest operations including site rehabilitation activities of this portion of this block shall be completed by November 30, 2017. Item # one (1) - The purchaser shall prepare an Explosive Safety Quality Distance Arc Access and Risk Acceptance Memorandum for Record (MFR). This MFR shall be approved by the Fort A.P. Hill Safety Office prior to working within the QD arc. The purchaser on site representative shall sign in/out daily with the Ammunition Storage Point. Item # two (2) -. All harvest operations including site rehabilitation activities of this portion of this block shall be completed by October 31, 2017. Timber may be inspected by prospective purchasers ON FRIDAY May 19, 2017 & TUESDAY May 23, 2017 BEGINNING AT 10:00 a.m. EACH MORNING. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday May 31, 2017 by the Acquisition, Management, and disposal section, real estate office, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, VA, and then opened publicly.
