- DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: The project will include the general repair of Building 5023, S&M Area. Work included in this project will consist to renovate the existing vehicle repair shop building 5023. Bldg#5023 currently provides vehicle maintenance as well as administrative functions. The existing POV parking, presently covered with steel plates to dismantle, shall be completely paved with self-locking pavement. The existing covered elevated vehicle wash-rack will be renovated to make it fully functional, considering also the environmental aspect of the drainage system. A new metal shed will be provided on the South side of the building to permit some minor maintenance operations on to the vehicles The building will be totally renovated to include demolition/construction of interior partitions, shop doors replacement, floor repair, roof repair, application of exterior plaster, interior painting. The utilities will be renovated to include heating and cooling, compressed air, lubricant dispensing system, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, telephone/data transmission, fire alarm and voice evacuation (MNS) systems. FUNDING: "This procurement action is subject to the availability of funds" LOCATION OF THE WORK: The site of the proposed work is Camp Darby, Tirrenia (Pisa) MAGNITUDE OF THE PROJECT: The magnitude of this project is between $ 1,000,000 and $ 5,000,000. METHOD OF CONTRACTING: This will be a Request for Proposal resulting in a firm fixed price contract. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: The Performance Period __390 calendar days____________ SOA: Contractor is required to be SOA OG1 classification IV qualified SITE VISIT: The site visit will be held on June 14, 2017 at 13:30 hrs at gate no. 27 Depot Area, Tombolo (Pisa) Italy. MISCELLANEOUS: The solicitation package, including the technical specification, description of the work and additional information will be posted within few weeks on Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov). To be awarded a government contract you MUST have DUNS (Dun& Bradstreet; tel: 02-28455379) and NCAGE (www.dlis.dla.mil/Forms/Form_AC135.asp) numbers and be registered in SAM(https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM). We will discuss this at the site visit. Only the persons who have provided the personal data will be allowed to attend the site visit. The Guards will check the identification card at the Gate. The offerors not present on the list will be denied the entrance to the base.
