- DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This project will nourish critically eroded shoreline at Sunny Isles Beach. The project beach has a maximum berm elevation of +6.8 feet, NAVD88, and a minimum berm elevation no less than +6.1 feet, NAVD88 with a foreshore slope of 1 Vertical on 10 Horizontal to tie into existing grade. The sand source for the project will be an upland source, and material will be truck hauled to the project location. The upland sourcewill be selected by the Contractor meeting criteria required in the specifications. The Construction Baseline (CBL) and Erosion Control Line (ECL) are the same and the width of the restored beach varies measured perpendicular to the CBL/ECL as shown on the drawings. The work is divided into a Base and four options. Work for the base and all options includes vibration control and monitoring, environmental species monitoring, and turbidity monitoring. The contractor shall begin performance within 30 calendar days and complete performance within 209 calendar days after the issuance of Notice to Proceed. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 12 May 2017 and bids will be due on or about 28 June 2017. Magnitude of construction is between $13,000,000.00 and $18,000,000.00.
