- DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: Full design. The project will include the general repair of the Camp Darby Motor Pool. This project is required to perform a general upgrade of the existing building, including both the administrative and vehicles shop areas, to assure building code and life safety conditions. The main architectural work items are listed as follows: - The administration area will be renovated considering floors, windows, doors, false ceilings etc. - Restrooms and lockers rooms, separate by gender, will be renovated both for the maintenance area and the admin offices. - The shop area will be renovated, the industrial floor will be repaired. Warehouse ceilings, columns and beams are open to the exposed structure, and plastering and painting will be provided. The overhead doors will be replaced. A battery charger room shall be provided, as well as other storages and support spaces. The two existing inspection ditches will be filled. - Replacement of existing exterior and interior doors and frames shall be included. - The roof waterproofing membrane will be removed and replaced. New flashings, gutters and downspouts will be installed. - The external surfaces of the building, will be plastered and painted. Structural: Limited works like some new interior masonry walls with their new foundation beam. Mechanical system: Total replacement of heating, cooling, exhaust, compressed air systems Plumbing: Total replacement of cold/hot water and drainage system. Fire: New sprinkler system. Electrical, telephone/data transmission, fire alarm and voice evacuation (MNS) systems: Total replacement and upgrade of existing systems. FUNDING:" This procurement action is subject to the availability of funds" LOCATION OF THE WORK: The site of the proposed work is Camp Darby, Tirrenia (Pisa) MAGNITUDE OF THE PROJECT: The magnitude of this project is between $ 1,000,000 and $ 5,000,000. METHOD OF CONTRACTING: This will be a Request for Proposal resulting in a firm fixed price contract. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: The Performance Period will be 365 calendar days SOA: Contractor is required to be SOA OG1 classification III qualified SITE VISIT: The site visit will be held on MAY 31, 2017 at 13:30 hrs at main gate no. 4 Camp Darby, Tirrenia(Pisa), Italy. MISCELLANEOUS: The solicitation package, including the technical specificaiton, description of the work and addtional information will be posted within few weeks on Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov). To be awarded a government contract you MUST have DUNS (Dun& Bradstreet; tel: 02-28455379) and NCAGE (www.dlis.dla.mil/Forms/Form_AC135.asp) numbers and be registered in SAM(https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM). We will discuss this at the site visit. SUBMIT A COPY OF ID (CARTA DI IDENTITA) OR PATENTE OF THE PERSON WHO WILL BE PRESENT AT THE SITE VISIT. Only the persons who have provided the personal data will be allowed to attend the site visit. The Guards will check the identification card at the Gate. The offerors not present on the list will be denied the entrance to the base.
