- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract to dB Systems Inc, 2005 S. Turf Sod Rd, Hurricane UT. The Federal Aviation Administration Logistics Center (FAALC) has a requirement for dBS 5100A Distance Measuring Equipment Omni-Directional Antennas (NSN: 5985-01-560-6179, P/N: 500300-100) with associated pipe adapters (NSN: 5985-01-504-1508, P/N: 510500-100), dBS 300A Glideslope antennas (NSN: 5985-01-621-8393, P/N: 300300-104), and dBS 300A Dipole Channels (NSN: 5985-01-631-9390, P/N: 300065-104). All items are in support of the National Airspace System (NAS). Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. The FAA intends to purchase the antennas and components cited above to maintain critical infrastructure within the NAS. Market analysis identified dBS Systems Inc. as the only known source that can provide the required antennas and components approved for use in the NAS. The proposed NAICs code for this acquisition is 334511, Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,250 employees. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement.
