- The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Glenn Research Center (GRC) intends to issue a Draft Request for Quotes (DRFQ) for Waste Removal and Recycling Services. This requirement is a follow-on to the Waste Removal and Recycling contract, NNC13CA05C with Waste Management of Ohio, Inc. The types of services include but aren't limited to: all services necessary to divert collected recyclables and waste from the waste stream by collecting and redirecting materials to an appropriate recycling facility. The non-usable items shall be processed separately to ensure that the maximum amount of municipal waste is diverted from the waste stream. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 562111 - Solid Waste Collection, with a size standard of $38.5 million dollars. The prospective DRFQ will be processed utilizing full and open competition. The resulting contract will be for a twelve (12) month base period and four (12) month option periods. A complete DRFQ package will be available by downloading the documents at FEDBIZOPPS at http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or around May 1, 2017. Potential Offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at http://www.fedbizopps.gov; this office will NOT issue hard copy solicitations and/or amendments. It is the Offerors responsibility to monitor http://www.fedbizopps.gov for the release of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments. An Industry Web Conference is tentatively scheduled for May 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). Attendance at the Industry Web Conference is neither required nor a prerequisite for proposal submission. Interested Offerors that desire to attend the Waste Removal and Recycling Services Industry Web Conference are requested to submit an email to the Contract Officer Valerie Daniel at valerie.d.daniel@nasa.gov in order to attend by May 12, 2017. Use the subject line: "Waste Removal and Recycling Services Industry Web Conference Attendees" in the email. All questions will be answered at the Industry Web Conference. All publicly available materials distributed at the Industry Web Conference will be made available to all potential Offerors at www.fbo.gov. Thirty minute one-on-one meetings will be made available to Interested Offerors after the Industry Web Conference to discuss any questions or clarifications on the draft RFQ. If interested in having one-on-one meetings, please indicate in initial email regarding Industry Web Conference attendance, NASA will be able to accommodate in person and via phone one-on-one meetings. Copies of the Industry Web Conference charts and a list of attendees will be posted to the FEDBIZOPPS website. Written questions of a technical or contractual nature resulting from this Synopsis or Industry Web Conference shall be submitted to Valerie Daniel at valierie.d.daniel@nasa.gov.
