This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. (1) The Comptroller General of the United States, or an authorized representative of the Comptroller General, shall have access to and right to examine any of the Contractor's directly pertinent records involving transactions related to this contract. SCOPE OF WORK The Food and Drug Administration's Office of Acquisitions and Grants Services have a requirement for a service maintenance agreement for a Base Year and 4 Option Years on LSM880 Confocal Microscope. Service Coverage: The technical specifications for this service contract are to maintain the proper functionality of the confocal microscope. The technical specifications are as follows: o Shall have one preventative maintenance (PM) inspection per agreement year that includes all labor, parts and travel associated with the PM visit o Shall include labor and travel charges associated with any service repair visit that may be required during the contract year o Shall have all covered replacement parts of this equipment including, but not limited to, Ar, HeNe, 561nm and Diode Lasers, the confocal system computer, the software version upgrades, and repairing objectives o Shall be certified trained service engineers o Shall have unlimited repair visits for breakdown O Shall have unlimited phone support INSTRUCTION TO OFFERES COVER PAGE Offerors shall include a cover page which shall include a point of contact (name, telephone number, and email address), proposed firm-fixed-, estimated delivery date. Offerors shall submit a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation. This may include product literature, or other documents, including pricing and any discount. Offerors shall ensure the solicitation number is visible in the header of the email transmission of their quote. Offerors shall complete the pricing tables for the base period equipment plus the four (4) option periods. Faxed quotes will not be accepted. Quotes must be valid through September 30, 2017.
