- NCTC - MECHANICAL SYSTEMS IMPROVEMENTS The National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) is an active training facility for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The NCTC is a campus setting with multiple buildings. This project consists of work of upgrading the existing hot water systems by: 1. Replacing two boilers, one in Housing Unit 1 (H1 - Leopold Lodge) and one in Housing Unit 3 (H3 - Rachel Carson Lodge). These boilers provide for domestic hot water and building heat in their respective lodges. 2. Installing a new flow control valve on the 4" perimeter hot water supply piping in the mechanical room of the instructional building, I-East (IE). Additional specifications will be provided in the statement of work. Information on a site visit and instructions to obtain access to the site will be provided in the solicitation. The invitation for bid is scheduled for release on or about 24 April 2017. The bids will be due on or about 12 May 2017. The anticipated award date is on or about 12 June 2017. The acquisition will be issued as a Small Business Set-Aside, Invitation for Bid through FedBizOpps. The Government may include options in the solicitation. The magnitude of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. A Bid Guarantee, Performance Bond and Payment Bond will be required. This acquisition will result in a single fixed price construction contract. Award shall be made to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the invitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors included in the invitation. This is an electronically issued acquisition. The Government will issue the invitation via FedBizOpps. Bids will be received in hard/paper copies only. Electronic and fax proposals will not be accepted. All responsible sources may submit a bid that will be considered by this agency.
