- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a contract on other than full and open competitive basis to Harris Corporation, Melbourne, FL. This effort is for the procurement of FliteScene licenses in support of the newly integrated Moving Map capability for the MH-60 R/S Helicopters. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency's requirements. Harris is the only known source with the technical data required to perform this effort. Note: This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. An initial Request for Information (RFI) Sources Sought statement for this requirement was posted to FedBizOpps on 13 March 2017. In accordance with the initial RFI for Sources Sought, the capability statement must include your approach to accomplish this effort in a seamless inclusion into the H-60S program schedule. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any capability statements received by 10 March 2017 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Questions concerning subcontracting opportunities should be directed to Kimberly Dingus at kdingus@harris.com.
