- The Great Lakes Environmental Research Lab, Muskegon, Michigan has a requirement to haul, drydock and paint the underwater hull of the R/V LAURENTIAN in accordance with the Statement of Work in the Request for Quotations (RFQ). Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform the following (including, but not limited to): Base Items- Haul and Dry Dock, Hull Painting-below the waterline and Hull Painting-water line to rail. Additional option items will be included for growth work (labor hours and material). The LAURENTIAN is a "traditional trawler" converted to a research vessel, 140 GT, LOA:80'; Beam: 26'; Draft of the vessel: 9'; Displacement: 130 tons; Hull #: NOAA8001; General design of the vessel is a traditional trawler converted to a research vessel. Period of performance will be June 12, 2017, or date of award, whichever is later, through July 7, 2017. Vendors shall be located within the vessels operating are of Lakes Michigan, Huron and Erie. Arrangements to attend site visits shall be coordinated with Dennis Donahue, Marine Superintendent, at 231-755-5173 or cell 231-750-0604. Bidder shall be a full service yard with full liability insurance. This acquisition will be issued as an RFQ and awarded as a firm-fixed price order under simplified acquisition procedures. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about April 26, 2017 with a due date of May 8, 2017. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR): www.ccr.gov, and obtain (and provide with the offer) a DUNS number by calling 1-800-333-0505. The FSC for this is J019 and NAICS Code is 336611, small business size standard is 1250 employees. No Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating assigned. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on FEDBIZOPPS. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FedBizOpps site for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments.
