- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - New England District is issuing a Pre-Solicitation Notice for the Inspection of Slide‐Gate Air Vents at North Hartland Lake. The work site is the concrete intake tower at North Hartland Lake, North Hartland, VT. Each slide‐gate air vent is approximately 170 linear feet in length and 30 inches in diameter. THE WORK CONSISTS OF: • Provide a safe work platform • Access three slide‐gate steel air vents (possibly via cutting of one new access opening, through which a video camera may be inserted, on each steel vent that is coated in lead‐based paint) • Inspect by remote video camera the interior of each air vent and provide a digital recording of each inspection • Seal any new access openings by welding This solicitation will be available on or about 08-MAY-2017. The period of performance will be for 90 days after award of contract. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $25,000 and $150,000. NO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILALABLE UNTIL THE SOLICITATION IS RELEASED. The solicitation will be available for downloading by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov). In order to view this solicitation, prospective contractors are required to self register their firm with Federal Business Opportunities (Go to http://www.fbo.gov and "register now" under Vendor/Citizens). Amendments, if any, will be available at this Internet site. Registrants are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the registration list. This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 561790 with a Small Business Size Standard of $7,500,000.00. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the New England District.
