Description

This Notice of Intent to Sole Source is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available. The Charlie Norwood VA Medical, Augusta GA intends to procure a three (3) months Equipment Maintenance services under a firm fixed priced contract with Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc., 40 Liberty Blvd, Malvern PA, 19355-1418. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 6.302-1. A justification and Approval for Limited Sources Justification will be prepared. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting NCO7 intends to issue a Sole Source 3 month Urgent and Compelling award to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc., 4o Liberty Blvd, Malvern PA, 19355-1418. All services shall be performed on-site at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center located at 1 Freedom Way, Augusta, GA 30901. The Contract will consist of maintenance on equipment listed below. These maintenance services shall include all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, parts (excluding glassware), supervision, transportation and services necessary to properly maintain all equipment. All work shall be done in accordance with manufacturer specifications to troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate the existing equipment. All repairs shall be made as soon as possible but no later than 30 days from date of award. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency. Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 811219. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit an offer; however, only offerors capable of providing the full scope of work shall be considered for award. The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered and must be received no later than 27 April 2017. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice of intent, the Government shall determine that a solicitation will be issued. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov/ in order to be eligible for award. Any documents submitted will not be returned. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor s capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements.
