- The National Park Service has a requirement for the following project. If you are interested, please submit your detailed capabilities in WRITING to demonstrate same or similar experience. This is not a request for proposal or invitation to bid. There is no bid package, solicitation, specification or drawings available with this announcement. Response is strictly voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought announcement or any follow-up information requests. Your email capability information MUST be 6 pages or less (including bonding letter) and be SPECIFIC to the scope provided. Provide customer point of contact information including email and telephone (i.e. contracting officers, project managers). Provide description of past projects (preferably same or similar past projects), contract numbers, dollar amounts, time frame, duration, location and any other pertinent information. You must also provide a letter from your bonding company verifying your bonding levels per contract and total. Clearly identify your socioeconomic status: (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, WOSB, EDWOSB, Small). All firms need to be actively registered in SAM. Your response is due no later than 10:00 a.m. Alaska Time, May 15, 2017. Please note there is no additional information to be provided at this time. PROJECT TITLE: Reinstall Fire Suppression System in King Salmon Permanent Housing DESCRIPTION: The proposed work consists of installing new NFPA 13D wet-pipe fire suppression systems to the permanent housing units at the FAA housing compound in King Salmon, Alaska. This project will include a total of nine units, five single family structures, and two duplex buildings. The units will be occupied by tenants, and coordination will be necessary to complete the work. The tenants will likely not be present during daytime hours, but the residence will contain furnishings and personal property. The mechanical rooms are separate and isolated from the living space. NAICS Code: 238220 Dollar Magnitude: $100,000 to $250,000 Period of Performance is Date of award (estimated July 3, 2017 to September 15, 2017 Project skills and/or experience that firms are to address in their statement of interest: 1. Work in National Parks, or similar public use areas, during high visitation periods. 2. Work in a congested residential area ensuring safe passage and site conditions for residents. 3. Protection of natural environment during construction. 4. Management of multi-discipline projects. 5. Completion of projects that are resent and relevant in nature to this project, complying with the latest standards listed: American Society of Mechanical Engineers: ASME, American Society for Testing and Materials: ASTM, American Welding Society: AWS, American Water Works Association: AWWA, National Fire Protection Association: NFPA, Underwriter Laboratories, Inc.: U.L., Factory Mutual Standards: FM.
