Statement of Work Equipment being ordered:_____MEDRAD STELLANT______ Transaction number:____________ Please provide the following information clearly and precisely. Description of what the equipment being requested is: This is a power injector for C.T. procedures that ensures optimized opacification and delineation of normal anatomy, including arterial and venous anatomy and abnormal lesions. The simultaneous injection in dual flow enables variable amounts of contrast and saline syringes that uniformly enhance all different types of anatomy. The Certegra Workstation guides technologists in accounting for unique patient and study variables, in order to personalize protocols for CT cardiac, pulmonary, and abdomen studies. Certegra P3T 2.0 software guides technologists in individually optimizing contrast-injection protocols tailored to patient weight and study type at the point of care. The software extends established P3T protocol personalization capabilities to allow for improved protocol adherence. This needs to be purchased for consistency with facility wide power injectors. Bayer Medrad power injectors are the only manufacturer that offers documentation of radiation dose and contrast dose. Bayer is the only injector with complete interfacing between the scanner, PACS, RIS, and speech recognition systems. It is highly recommended where the radiation dose needs to be kept as low as reasonable achievable, and patients with compromised renal functions that we purchase Bayer Medrad to meet the needs of accurate documentation. Description of how the equipment being requested operates: Operated by CT personnel to inject contrast material through the venous system for attenuation within the patient to show lesions, arteries, veins and organ structures. Delivers contrast at a steady predetermined rate to ensure no injury to patient. Where will the equipment being requested be used: PVAHCS, Radiology, CT department, room D237 Who will be using the equipment being requested: CT technologists This is new imaging equipment that will contain PHI. 6500.6/Appendix A/Item 6 The Certification and Accreditation requirements do not apply and a Security Accreditation Package is not required. 6500.6/Appendix A/Item 7 The device/service will not be storing/collection any data released outside the VA.
