Description
The Program Executive Office Combat Support and Combat Service Support (PEO CS&CSS) would like to invite interested members to participate in the Squad Multipurpose Equipment Transport (SMET) Industry Day to be held May 18, 2017 from 0900-1600 at The Concorde Inn of Clinton Township, 44315 N. Gratiot Avenue, Clinton Township, Michigan 48036. The purpose of the Industry Day is to discuss the upcoming SMET requirements and to obtain industry feedback. Although this Industry Day is open to all interested parties, the Government's intent is to compete the SMET requirement on the Ground Vehicle Systems (GVS) Section 815 Other Transaction Agreement (OTA). Please note that the new GVS OTA is currently in source selection. The Request for Prototype Proposal (RPP) will be conducted in accordance with the terms and conditions of the new GVS OTA. The purpose of the GVS OTA is to accelerate the advancement of prototype manned and unmanned ground vehicle technologies. A draft RPP will be provided for review prior to the Industry Day. Attendees are highly encouraged to submit questions in advance, to the point of contact listed below. The Government will provide answers during the Question and Answer portion of the conference, as well as after the conference to all attendees if needed. This event will consist of the following: 8:30 - 9:00: Registration 9:00 - 10:00: Briefing session on the SMET Acquisition Strategy 10:00 - 11:30: Pre-submitted Question and Answer session 11:30 - 12:30: Break for lunch 12:30 - 1330: Open discussion 13:30 - 16:00 Scheduled Breakout Sessions At the conclusion of the SMET Industry Day, a list of attendees will be posted to the FedBizOpps website that will identify the attending companies, their points of contact, and their interest as a prime contractor or subcontractor. Should a person not want to be included in the list of attendees, they must disclose that in their registration e-mail. To secure registration to SMET Industry Day and allow for access to the Concorde Inn, attendees MUST provide the following information to Ms. Patricia Kleiman by 1600 on 10 May 2017. • Company Name(s) • Company CAGE Code • Company Address(es) • SMET Interest (Prime, Subcontractor, etc) • For each attendee (limited to five (5) individuals per company): • Full Name(s) (As stated on the Driver's License or Personal Identification Card) • Telephone Number(s) and Email Address(es) • Country of Citizenship • Please provide if you are interested in a breakout secession with the Government. A schedule of the breakout sessions will be provided at the conference. Please note breakout sessions will be limited to 15 minutes. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This invitation to participate in the SMET Industry Day Conference does not constitute an invitation for bid or Request for Project Proposal (RPP). Any procurement action for the SMET Program will be subject to separate, future actions. The Government is under no obligation to award any related contract associated with this event. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. Participation in the SMET Industry Day is voluntary. The Government will not reimburse the SMET Industry Day attendees for any costs associated with participation. This Industry Day and/or the information presented herein will not obligate the Government in any manner. The posted information is provided for planning purposes only. It does not constitute a RFP or RPP nor does it restrict the Government as to its acquisition approach for the SMET. Dress will be business casual. There is no fee to attend. Lunch will be the responsibility of the attendees.
