Description
This notice is being posted to identify any potential companies that may be able to fulfill the below requirement. The Norfolk Naval Shipyard Detachment, Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC) located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, requires the fabrication and installation of a new cement plant system and all components necessary for the proper operations of the system. The requirement includes the procurement and installation of a cement plant, which consists of four (4) new 45 cubic foot cement mixers, sand and cement gravity feed systems for each of the four (4) new mixers, weight hoppers, water dosing system, structural support platform and enclosure, dust collection system, and a control system. The mixers must be tub-type mixers with rotor mixing blades and the system must allow for batch mixing. Properties such as moisture content, permeability, and strength must be able to be controlled and be consistent from batch to batch. The requirement also includes the setup of a temporary sand transport system, demolition and removal/disposal of the existing outside plant, and an option for demolition and removal/disposal of the existing inside plant. The new cement plant shall be located on the Eastern wall, outside of the Navy Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC's) foundry building 20. The cement plant shall be capable of 20 tons/hour throughput while running two (2) mixers. This requirement will also include spare parts, technical documentation, training, installation of the system, and the removal of the exterior portion of the current system. It will include an option to remove the interior portion of the current system. Contractors will be required to provide personnel for the on-site work that are U.S. Citizens and have a secret security clearance. The system will need to be installed and fully operational mid-2019. Any interested companies should email the above Government POC the following: -Any literature on current production models/equipment that could meet the above requirements. -A brief statement (1 page or less) describing the company's experience with similar requirements. -A rough estimate of the cost to perform the above. -Information regarding the size status of the company. -Any other pertinent information to assist the Government with its sourcing determination. Note that information provided does not constitute an offer and the Government will not make any award based on the information provided. Please monitor FBO if interested in submitting a formal offer if and when the Government posts its formal requirement.
