Description
Request for Information (RFI) This is a Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought notice issued in accordance with FAR 15.201(e) to conduct market research. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue a RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is not, at this time, seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested vendor's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI is strictly voluntary. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned. VA seeks to identify offerors who can provide software maintenance for CorreLog Agent for z/OS GSIP Package w/out Visiualizer CorreLog dbDfender and CorreLog Agent for z/OS VM GSIP package w/out Visualizer; Include:s RACF; SSL/TLS/One LPAR license per Package. The VA is also seeking potential offerors that can provide similar software as a replacement. Interested parties submitting a Capabilities Statement should be brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrate the ability to meet the stated requirements. The Capabilities Statement should clearly present evidence that the interested party is fully capable of providing the required software maintenance or potential replacement and as such may include any information that the interested party feels is relevant. Prospective offerors are strongly encouraged to submit questions and comments as soon as they are identified. Telephone questions will not be accepted. As part of the response, please provide the following information: Company size and status, as well as any existing General Services Administration (GSA) or Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) contracts including contract numbers and expiration dates. Describe value added capabilities that would allow VA to achieve cost reductions in an efficient manner. Discuss where these services have been applied in the federal Government in the past with positive results. Please identify contract and Government POC information as applicable. Provide estimated maintenance cost per license per fiscal year for each product shown in or estimated cost for conversion and maintenance of new software product. Submit responses and related information via email to Raymond Mesler, Contract Specialist, at Raymond.Mesler@va.gov no later than close of business May 8, 2017. Please limit responses to no more than 10 pages. All proprietary/company confidential material shall be clearly marked on every page that contains such. White papers should also include a short summary of your company's business/developments in this area and current deployments with references. Also, please submit the name, phone number, and email address of the lead from your organization. VA reserves the right to not respond to any or all emails or materials submitted.
