Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, on behalf of the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, Fayetteville, NC is conducting market research to determine Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a), Woman Owned Small Business or HUBZone Small Business, interest for Firestop Maintenance and Repair Service at the Charles George Veterans Affairs Medical Center 1100 Tunnel Road, Asheville NC 28805. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Fayetteville VA Medical Center located at Asheville, NC is seeking an experienced contractor to provide all labor, tools, equipment, supervision, and materials necessary to perform testing, inspecting and diagnostics of all existing Echostream SARA Network devices (mobile duress alarm). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction) and the Classification code is N063 (Installation of Alarm, Signal and Security Detection Systems). THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. Interested parties should submit with their response the following information: 1. Company name and DUN # 2. POC information 3. Business size and socio-economic classification (for example SDVOSB, Woman-owned) 4. STATEMENT OF WORK General. Special Requirement -- The Contractor will provide all transportation, material hardware and parts, tools, specialized equipment, labor, supervision and technical expertise to diagnose the issues with VAMC Asheville s Echostream SARA Network and locations to include locating all repeaters and providing written documentation of the locations; remap/reset/reprogram whole network to achieve the most accurate positioning for strong signal strength for the mobile duress alarm system maintained by VA Police Service at Charles George VA Medical Center, Asheville, NC. Coordination. Facility Management Services, Maintenance and Operations Section (M&O) will serve as the focal point and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) /Point of Contact (POC) will be Police Service. Site Visits. Contractors must accomplish a site visit prior to submitting their proposal. Site visits must be pre-coordinated and prescheduled with the COR. Unannounced site visits will not be honored. The Federal Government will not incur any cost associated with site visits. The Contractor must pre coordinate work and if needed, associated outages with the COR/POC. This work will be accomplished during regular work hours. The contractor will respond to Building 47, Police on the prescheduled date/time, and make contact with the COR/POC. Contact must be made with the COR/POC prior to accomplishing or starting any work.
