Description
Solicitation packages will be available on or about 05/8/2017. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and disposal required to complete Waterfront Repairs at U.S. Coast Guard Sector Northern New England, South Portland Maine (Cumberland County). The work includes but is not limited to the following: cleaning and coating the exposed sheet pile, wales and tierods; installing anodes and continuity welds on the sheet piles and wales; installing new rock anchors on the Main Pier; joint, crack, and spall repairs on the East and West Pier Decks; demolition and removal of pavement, and repaving on the Main Pier; coating the Travel Lift Pier piles in the tidal zone and above, installation of riprap for scour protection on the East and West Piers; replacement of a float module and miscellaneous crack and spall repairs on the SHACKLE, North ANT, and South ANT Floating Docks; repairs to aluminum ramps to the SHACKLE, North ANT, and South ANT Floating Docks; plating repairs to bulkhead wale at Travel Lift; and other miscellaneous repairs. There is an Optional Bid Item in addition to the base bid items mentioned above for demolition and removal of pavement, drainage improvements, and repaving additional areas of the Main Pier. This invitation for bid is issued pursuant to FAR Part 14, and is 100% set-aside for Small Business concerns in accordance with FAR Part 19.5. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 with a small business size standard of $36.5 Million. The magnitude of construction range of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Bid, payment, and performance bonds will be required. The overall performance period for this project is 350 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. The bid opening date is scheduled for 06/07/2017 at 2:00 pm.
