The Department of Veteran Affairs VISN 15 is conducting market research to determine potential sources having the skills, capabilities, experience and bonding capacity to perform the described work. No award will be made from this Sources Sought. No solicitation, specifications, or drawings are available; therefore, do not request a copy of a solicitation. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for an anticipated future acquisition. for the VA Medical Center located in Topeka, Kansas. Applicable NAICS code is 238990; size standard $15 million. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email preferred) and received no later than May 5, 2017 by 2:00pm CST. No telephone inquiries will be accepted or returned. Additional information about this project will be issued on the Federal Business Opportunities website https://www.fbo.gov once available. Prospective SDVOSB firms are reminded that in accordance with VA Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 852.219-10, at least 25 percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance of the contract shall be spent for employees of the SDVOSB concern or employees of other eligible service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns by special trade contractors. Scope of project: Provide labor and materials to repair by replacement a portion of the existing concrete handicap parking lot 3, curb gutter, sidewalk repairs, and crack fill and seal parking lot 2. The contractor shall remove and replace the specified concrete parking surfaces. The contractor shall replace the curbing, gutter and sidewalks specified. The contractor shall crack fill and seal parking lot 2. The contractor will be responsible for meeting all contract specifications for the VAMC. The concrete and paving surfaces materials shall be installed in accordance with all applicable standards available at time of installation to include published commercial specifications as well as standards and preferences expressed in this document. Work includes general construction, necessary to construct the work shown on the plans and specifications. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the estimated magnitude of the resulting construction price range is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors, small business size standard of $15M in average annual receipts for the preceding three years.
