Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to negotiate a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to ACCTRON INSTRUMENTS, 11 Mary Street, Suite B, Sudbury, Ontario P3C 1-B4 for the acquisition of a ‘Pinssar ® Diesel Particulate Monitor (DPM). This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a) (1). The NAICS code for this procurement is 333411- Air Purification equipment Manufacturing. The desired delivery date is on or before May 26, 2017. Technical Specifications: "ACC-PN DPM Monitor Sensor" Description: A rugged, mine-duty Diesel Particulate Monitor (DPM) to detect mine concentrations and communicate through the following methods: --Serial USB Ethernet: 10/100 Base TX (Cat5 RJ45), --Wireless: LTE/UMTS (HSPDA/H S P D A +), --Wi-Fi (EEE 802.11b, g, n) The DPM unit must also be MODBUS compatible and meet the needs of being utilized in a Smart Monitoring and Control (SMAC) ventilation control system currently utilized by NIOSH, and with other mine monitoring and control systems. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within three(3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to contract specialist at lfo5@cdc.gov by COB, 5 p.m. EST, 02 May 2017.
