- Pre-solicitation Notice Solicitation No.: FA5270-17-R-0007 Project Number & Title: LXEZ 16-1319 Replace and Remove T Splice & Load Junctions Synopsis: The Contractor shall verify site conditions and conduct all field surveys and measurements as necessary to complete this project. All performance under this project shall meet or exceed US Government Standards. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and any other necessary items to complete this project identified in the Statement of Work (SOW) for Project No. LXEZ 16-1319 Replace and Remove T Splice & Load Junctions, Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan. All work performed will be in compliance with the Statement of Work, Specifications and Drawings. These documents will be included in the solicitation package. General Description of work: The main purpose of this project shall include, but not limited to, replacing existing equipment, such as switchgears, T-splices, load junctions, and cable junction pedestals in underground distribution system of Kadena Air Base, with new Cable Junction Pedestals, Vacuum Fault Interrupters, or manhole type switchgears, and reconnecting existing circuit to these new devices. Restoring the ground surface disturbed during the construction period of this project shall be also included in the scope of work of this project. Details of the replacement is shown on design analysis and drawings of this project. New devices shall coordinate with upstream devices (i.e. new devices shall trip before Okinawa Electrical Power Company devices) and downstream devices as applicable. The magnitude of this project is expected between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 in accordance with FAR 36.204. The projected performance period for this project is 1,484 calendar days. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for work performed will be NAICS Code No. 238210. Interested Offerors are encouraged to frequently check this posting for updates.
