The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualifications of any business, to include all small business for NAICS code 339112 (Surgical & Medical Instrument Manufacturing). The size standard under this NAICS code is 1000 employees. The Department of Veteran s Affairs is seeking small business manufacturer or distributors of small business manufacturers, of functionally equivalent equipment to all the following: Omnicell Server and Cabinet Upgrades Required parts are the following: Product number Description Quantity needed MDA-CNS-001 OMNIRX LID UPGRADE TO G4 CONSOLE. 1 MDA-PCB-001 RX PC BOX UPGRADE TO G4 CONSOLE..3 MDA-SCN-003.2D SAFETYSTOCK G4 (OMNIRX, TT, HALF RX) 1 MDA-SCN-004 2D SAFETYSTOCK G4 (1,2,3 CELL)..3 SRD-IDR-016...TOUCH & GO FOR G4 PC BOX CONSOLE..3 SRD-IDR-021 TOUCH & GO FOR G4 LID CONSOLE..1 STATEMENT OF WORK Introduction and Overview The Pharmacy Service is requesting to purchase an upgrade to 4 Pharmacy Omnicell units that need to have their software upgraded in order to conform with the VACO Windows XP remediation mandate.   The affected units are ID#s 41993, 49885, 49892 and 49895.   Background The Omnicell cabinets are currently operating Windows XP. To comply with VA standards, these will be upgraded to Windows 7. These automated inventory dispensers are Point of Use (POU) cabinets that are used to distribute pharmacy items (primarily controlled substances) and  medical/surgical supplies. These POU cabinets allow nursing staff to have direct access to needed supplies for patient treatments without delays.   Scope of Work The vendor shall provide upgraded software and hardware to the existing Omnicell cabinets. The cabinets will receive new PC boxes which will upgrade them to Microsoft Windows 7.0 and Omnicell Generation 4 software.   Period of Performance The contractor shall complete delivery, installation and training before September 30th 2017. Projected Cost: To be determined Removal and Disposal The vendor shall remove all replaced parts and dispose of all excess materials. The government and the vendor will coordinate a staging area for new units vs. removed units.   The contractor shall remove and wipe clean any information stored on the removed hard drives in accordance with VA IT policies and procedures. Requirements Vendor shall ensure, with government support, that the connection of the upgraded hardware and software to existing VA IT systems, and the flow of data between the upgraded hardware and software to existing VA IT systems, is reliable. Place of Performance / Place of Delivery This project encompasses the James J Peters VA Medical Center. The actual location of service is the Pharmacy. Product Specifications (for supplies) The vendor is required to: provide all items on quote and assist OIT/Biomed with installation. Post-installation, the vendor will be available for support. Government-Furnished Property, Material, Equipment, or Information (GFP, GFM, GFE, or GFI) Any necessary VA related property, material; equipment and/or information needed to install new operating system and hardware will need to be provided. Security The server and associated IP addresses are set up under a secure VLAN in an ACL. Pharmacy will comply with all set ups that OIT/Biomed deem necessary. Vendor will be escorted in patient care areas if needed during cabinet upgrade. Travel There is no travel associated with this purchase. Special Material Requirements There are not special materials associated with this purchase. Acceptance Acceptance will be after installation and clean-up is complete in all rooms. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government will not pay for any information submitted under this announcement.
