Description
THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. THIS IS FOR PLANNING PUPOSES ONLY. ANY FORMAL SOLICITATION WILL BE ANNOUNCED SEPERATELY. IT IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITTMENT TO THE GOVERNMENT NOR WILL THE GOVERNMENT PAY FOR INFORMATION PROVIDED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The Sherwood Facility Expansion project is to provide hardwired line and fiber optic services for 4 locations outside of the main warehouse building where current hardline services currently reside. The following points are neeeded to get fiber optic services to these locations: Material lists are for the following: Conduit (new): 1,150' Backboard and terminal placements: seven (7) units Waterproof Housings: seven (7) units Fiber Housings: eight (8) units Rod and Rope/ Repair Conduit: 1,485' Drop Wire (copper - six (6) pair): 3,795' Drop Wire (Fiber - twelve (12) fibers): 4,035' In ground pull box (SB1): one (1) unit Copper Cable (twenty-five (25) pair): 875' Fiber drop in duct (Fiber - twelve (12) fibers): 2,440' Number of Fiber ends to be terminated 84 66m-50 Connection Blocks - eight (8) Conduit Placement: This job requires placing 1150' feet of a single 2" duct structure at locations shown on job drawings. As build actual distance is to be provided. One sidewalk box (17"x 30"x 24") is to be place as shown on job for pulling purposes. All riser bends need to be encased with concrete as shown on drawings. All conduit openings will be capped with re-enterable duct plugging compound. Trenching to a depth of 2' is required and Contractor is to call LA811 for locating underground facilities prior to digging. Contractor is responsible to repair any damage done to any facility, system, foundation or any other property within the scope of work at contractor expense. Conduit Repair: Existing Conduit on property has been abandoned and needs repair at one location. This existing structure needs to be cleaned out and existing place needs to be removed for new placement. Rod and rope existing conduit for new cable placement on this job. As build actual distance is to be provided. Contractor is to call LA811 for locating underground facilities prior to digging. Contractor is responsible to repair any damage done to any facility, system, foundation or any other property within the scope of work at contractor expense. Backboard Placement: Backboard for facility termination is described on this job, to be built and placed. There are seven (7) Backboards to be built and placed on the Sherwood Forest property as shown in the plans. The Backboards are to be made of 4x4 post and 1" Plywood (4'x3') backing. Post are to be cemented into the ground at the different locations except at warehouse B where it is to be mounted on the side of the building. Mount one weatherproof housing at each backboard. Mount one fiber terminal and 66-m50 in each weather proof housing on each backboard. Cable Placement (Copper): Place 835' of 25 pair cable. Cable type preferred is ANTW, but BKTH is acceptable. Drop Placement (Copper): Place @ 3,795' of six (6) pair 24 gauge copper multiple drop. Hang drop to maintain 15 foot clearance over all roadways, driveways and vehicle access points along placement route. Terminate all copper drops on provided 66m-50 blocks in the weatherproof housings at each location. Test end to end conformance and tag drops with location names. Drop Placement (Fiber): Aerial: Place @ 4,035' 12 Fiber, single mode multiple drop. Hang drop to maintain 15 foot clearance over all roadways, driveways and vehicle access points along placement route. Terminate all copper drops in provided Fiber terminals in the weatherproof housings at each location. Terminate all fiber ends with single mode LC connectors. All fiber connectors in each fiber box are to be Single Mode LC connectors. Test end to end conformance and tag drops with location names. Drop Placement (Fiber): Conduit: Place @ 2,440' 12 Fiber, single mode multiple drop. This fiber is to be placed as shown through the existing duct structure once this structure has been cleaned out as re-roped for pulling. Terminate all copper drops in provided Fiber terminals in the weatherproof housings at each location. Terminate all fiber ends with single mode LC connectors. All fiber connectors in each fiber box are to be Single Mode LC connectors. Test end to end conformance and tag drops with location names. Contractor is to provide wall to wall footages of all conduit, new and existing. Contractor is to provide conformance test on all copper terminations new and existing in the scope of work herein. Contractor is to provide conformance test on all fibers terminations placed on this job. Contractor is responsible to obtain all or any permits required to do this job are required by the City of Baton Rouge or the Parish of East Baton Rouge. Contractor is responsible for all damages and repairs done by contractor and/or contracted entities employed by same contractor.
